Regarding Excess Garbage and Oversized Items
Below are important updates from Eagle Trash concerning recent trash pickups and bags being left behind.
- West Earl Township has always had a 96-gallon limit on trash; 3 32-gallon trash bags. Unfortunately, this has not always been enforced in the past.
- If you have more than 96-gallons of trash per week, you may purchase yellow tags ($1.25/each) to place on any extra trash bags. Please place NO MORE than 2-3 extra garbage bags out per week.
- If you do not wish to use the toters that were given out, you may use your own trash container; please be aware that West Earl Township and Eagle Disposal will not be held responsible for any damage to your personal trash containers.
- If you have oversized items that you would like to discard of (furniture, mattresses, box springs, etc.) you may purchase $4.00 red tags and then place those items out with the weekly trash (once the tag is affixed to the item). Please only place two oversized items out per week.
I hope this can clear up some of the recent confusion surrounding trash and recycling pick up.
